SEC to Start its Oversight of Cyber Risks

Doug DePeppe, a co-founder of the CyberJuris Network, shares his observations with IR Global about the changes set to start from the SEC’s announcement in July concerning its oversight of cybersecurity among publicly traded companies.

While the 4-day reporting of data breaches has garnered all the headlines, DePeppe points out that managing systemic controls of risk, as described in annual 10-K reports, will be a significant driver of demand for assessing cyber risk.

The CyberJuris Network will continue to refer opportunities to members as they emerge from this new requirement.
